Los Angeles: Announcing FrayList!

First of all, I'd like to thank the many people who have offered to volunteer. When I signed up for this, I didn't imagine that so many people would be so passionate about this. Now that I know better, I've decided to set up a little mailing list to keep things better coordinated.

I've been getting this flood of messages lately, and it's getting harder and harder to keep track of them all. On top of that, recent computer troubles had me switching machines, causing even greater confusion. So if you've emailed me recently and haven't gotten a response in a while, please accept my sincerest apologies.

If you're interested in volunteering (this includes people who have emailed me already), please sign up for the mailing list. Once you're signed up, you can post to the list by sending email to fraylist AT redgreenblue DOT org. And you'll be getting emails periodically with the most recent status of event planning, including things that haven't been finalized yet. (We're doing a lot more than our sparse posting to the site implies!)

In case you're wondering, yes, there is a digest version of the list available so that your inbox doesn't fill up too quickly. The option is available on the FrayList page.

Oh, and one more thing: many people have been volunteering their graphic design services. While we love the offers, we already have enough people staffed in this area. However, there are many other places where volunteer help is needed, so sign up and help out! Specifically, we need people who would be interested in "painting the town" with Fray Day flyers and people who can help us set up and clean up. And we might figure out other things for you to do once we get the list going.

Again, thanks!
