FRAY DAY CINCINNATI=ROUSING SUCCESS!!!

What an AMAZING time!! With a capacity crowd and then some, we had an awesome night! Read about it and add your review!

Trilobite Agenda ROCKED (and several members of David Linley's band came up to enjoy the set, and especially marvel at Clint's homemade drum kit). And then the stories! Steve, Deborah and Mike were fantastic (people tell me I did okay, too). Deborah hilariously debunked three misconceptions about "amazing blind people." Mike relayed an alternately touching and amusing story of the time he spent working a ranch in Texas. Steve shared the truth about perms and big pants. And Mary...just shared the truth.

Another Deborah came all the way from Columbus (two hours plus!) to tell us how she learned the hard way at 11 how small White Castle hamburgers are. She and her friend Josh not only brought absolutely delicious cookies (much better than those animal crackers I put out), they brought a couple friends from Pennsylvania! So Terrence from CLEVELAND (four plus hours!) unfortunately loses the title of "furthest traveled."

We heard Jim's tale of delivering a pizza to a large man in a mismatched orange polyester skirt ensemble. How Robin was the object of "Butternut Bill's" affection, to her chagrin, in the heady days of mid-80s high school. Jeff's musings on Hale-Bopp, religion and bell bottoms. Ron's run-in with a giant roach. And Sarah's amazing (!) tale of getting a live moth stuck in her ear.

These stories "and the rest" will be online soon, at least in part, as well as tons of photos. Speaking of which, if you took photos, please email me! I would love to be able to see and/or use them!

Thank you to everyone who came and supported us; I wish I could have talked to all of you more. Thank you to my friends who kept me sane. Thank you to Southgate House, who want us to come back, as soon as possible! And a big sloppy thank-you to Derek for thinking this crazy thing up in the first place.

Finally, for anyone who was there tonight, here's a little something...Steve and I stopped for some food on the way home...seriously...Big Boys.

(and now comment if ya wanna)

Thanks to everyone for sharing your stories and making Fray Day 5 another success! Thanks to Southgate House for the wonderful venue and especially thanks to Mary and everyone who helped make Fray Day 5 - Cincinnati possible. Happy Birthday Fray!

That was some fun! Glad I had an opportunity to listen to so many great stories.

Yeah, my undying gratitude goes out to all who were involved. I couldn't have had a better time. I can't wait until the next gathering, which seems so very far away.

Great review, Mary. :-) Trilobite Agenda was great! I arrived about 7:10'ish with maybe 10-15 people there and it swelled greatly from there. I knew going in that I wasn't going to speak, but to go and have a great time and I did. I was a first timer at any event like this and loved it. Thanks to the Southgate House (what a history!) for hosting us. And to all the volunteers that coulda been doing something else but chose to take the action so we'd have a great time. Looking forward to Fray 6. If I would have discovered it sooner, I could have had even more people from Portsmouth, OH there.

I just wanted to say that I had a great time, and it was well worth the drive down. I haven't laughed that hard in a while. I also wanted to thank the organizers, who did an incredible job. I can't wait until next year!

Wow, do we really have to wait a whole year for the next one. Fray Day 5 in Cincinnati, was unbelievable. I have to thank Mary T. (sorry about the strange pre-Fray Day turn of events and please do call the cops this time.) and of course I have to thank Mr. Kissing. Who ever thought when we were facing the fire breathing republican that some day we would be pounding down the suds and sharing tales of masturbation and doubt. Great job guys.

Photos from the Event. And, yes, I know I need to rotate the vertical photos. I will, I will...
