FrayBoston--Featured Storytellers

We've got a great list of Featured Storytellers including: a fella who has been called the Jim Carrey of the storytelling world, Joe Theroux; an award-winning poet, performance artist and part-time diva, Jaclyn Friedman; and a lively member of the Tongue-In-Cheek Storytellers, Kevin Brooks!   more >>>

Los Angeles: featured performers!

We've booked all our featured performers at the L.A. event, mostly composed of members of the local "Anything But Stand-Up" storytelling salon. I went down and saw them, and they're an excellent group. Their stories are not to be missed, so come down to L.A. on the ninth and see them. It's going to be an awesome show!   more >>>

Austin: Flyers For All My Friends!

Okay, we solved the problem. Austin flyers have been cleaned up. Sorry for the glitch. Here they are ...   more >>>

Fray Day 5 RSVPs ... by city!

Austin: Flyer Alert!

We're having a problem with the Austin flyers--they're printing out bitmappy and ugly. Even though mama told me never to swear, I swear we're working like dogs to resolve it. I'll notify you as soon as the glitch is fixed. Thanks for your patience!

Austin: Yeeee-OUCH!

Austin Fray Day is heatin' up, baby! And I'm not just talking about the weather. Although, truth be known, it is hotter'n heck down here. But that's the way we like it! We've got a fantastic lineup so far.   more >>>

Fray Day 4 Flashback!

I've created a streaming radio station for the webcast archive of Fray Day 4 SF. If you want a taste of what you can expect at Fray Day 5, or you just have a few hours to kill, give it a listen!

FD5 San Francisco welcomes Rob Brezsny!

I'm so happy to welcome the subversive soothsayer Rob Brezsny to the stage at Fray Day 5 San Francisco! Rob is the mystic force behind Free Will Astrology, a horoscope column carried in weekly papers all over, as well as The Televisionary Oracle, a novel about "a lusty but sensitive rock star who encounters the leader of a goddess-worshiping religious order that values pranks as much as prayers." Welcome, Rob!

Join the SF Street Team

Attention San Franciscans! I'm looking for volunteers to help put up Fray Day 5 SF flyers and pass out postcards in their local haunts. Want in? Just email me your name, address (so I can mail you stuff), phone number (so we can coordinate), and what part of town you'd like to hit. I'll be distributing stuff to the street team in the next few days, so email me asap if you can help. And thanks!

Poster ravvel

We've had a whole bunch of posters printed.
Around 200 x A4 and 1200 X A6 (fliers).
We'll probably be getting even more printed, we could do with more people to help distribute these fliers and posters to cafe's/eating houses/universities etc around this big town. If you've got some time on your hands and are keen to help out - please e-mail me.

FD5 RSVP!

New on fray.org: Are you coming to FD5? Tell us so!

FD5 Pledge Drive

Hey folks! Derek here. I've designed up this groovy postcard to promote FD5. Now we just need to get 'em printed. And that's where you come in....

We've got a flyer!

The Cambridge [aka Boston] Fray Day flyer is ready.
Grab it here and paste it all over town if you're a local... please!

The L.A. flyer is ready to go!

Download it, print a copy, make a dozen or few copies, and plaster them around your neighborhood. Hit up places like local colleges and coffeeshops, anywhere where potential storytellers may be found. (Which is to say, everywhere!) And tell your friends to do the same. I don't want to go anywhere in the L.A. area without seeing this flyer somewhere!

Los Angeles: want a discount on a FD5 shirt?

Some of us L.A. people will at be at Highland Grounds on August 11 (that's today!) at 8 PM. If you are able to come and can help us with our advertising campaign, we'll offer you a discount on a FD5 shirt (a coupon which you can redeem at the event). Don't worry—we'll make it worth your while. More details?

If you decide to come, look for the guy in the beige Gilligan hat and say hello! (I just hope there isn't more than one...)

Promotion of the Melbourne Event

We have a few options up our sleeve for promoting the Melbourne event. We need people to help us out with distributing posters, as well as getting the word out to the street press, radio, the web and tv.
