Fray Day 5 was a blast, plain and simple. Even the ringing in my left ear from sitting too close to the speakers was fun. It was worth it, you see. I took so much joy and energy home with me that night. One of the most exciting things I took with me from Fray Day was a kernel of an idea for a story. A real story from my life. I decided that I want to work on it for a while and see if I can write it out as well as some of the performers were able to and maybe save it for next year's Fray Day. I will be there, no doubt about it. I want to put a little bit of myself into the fray and see how things go. It's a fascinating place to be and an incredible thing to experience.

Great fun, great night. I wasn't supposed to be nervous, having done a bit of public speaking before, but as my turn at the open mic got closer, I suddenly remembered to start being nervous. Much more fun than speaking, though, was listening to the other speakers. Robyn the N-SYNC junkie was the highlight for me... top stuff. The band was fantastic, and it all went very smoothly. Well done all.

I signed up for the open mike event not really knowing what I was going to say. After watching and enjoying the featured speakers I was suddenly inspired to talk about my love of Nsync. So I did, and it went really well.
I totally enjoyed myself and I had a great time. Hooray for Fray Day!
